Four eyes are better than two…

Does my eyes look big in these…

When I was in school (way back in the day) wearing glasses was not cool and they certainly were not the fashion statement like they are now. For the last couple of years wearing glasses is seen as geek chic with many people wanting the latest designer glasses even if they don’t need them.

In this new era of glasses being cool I found myself needing them and now they a staple ‘style’ piece to my everyday life, I wear them with pride (yes I have prescription glasses, I don’t wear them for fashion). So you could imagine my excitement when as a fashion blogger and a glasses wearer I received an invite to the CrossEyes bloggers Valentine’s event.

The champagne and cupcakes were a great way to welcome bloggers into the event…#Lush!

photo (4)I had a fab evening not only did I enjoy the refreshments and being free to try on several pairs of glasses (I do need a new pair so this was a good opportunity to see what’s on the market) but also enjoyed the conversion with the owner who is extremely passionate about offering stylish yet affordable eye-wear.

With this…

Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you CrossEyes who originate from Denmark but are now ready to make their mark in London Town! Check them out at http://www.crosseyes.co.uk for the perfect pair of glasses ‘for you’. They also have a shop based in Clerkenwell, one of the coolest places in London might I add. Style is my thing so trust me on this one!

To note…

Looking cool in glasses is 50% getting the right pair for your face and 50% rocking the style with confidence. Whether you already have glasses, or need to get them soon, here are fives tips if you’re feeling self-conscious with your glasses on.

  1. Pick glasses that reflect your personality.
  2. Learn to like your glasses.
  3. Don’t be afraid to wear them in public, they are apart of who you are.
  4. Make sure your glasses fit your face properly.
  5. When you’re trying on glasses, pick out the ones that look best on you.

London Fashion Week 2014 #LFW

For those who love fashion and people watching Somerset House is the place to be during London Fashion Week.

Winter was in full swing during some parts of today with it being cold, wet and windy but this did not stop those venturing out to be among the who’s who of the fashion world.

All White…

I love me some colour but I also love simplicity!

It may be a little premature to take on summer’s biggest colour trend in full force whilst the ground itself has potential to be white at any given moment (brrrr) but start as you mean to go on. ! I love the all-white trend even in winter. One does not have to wait until spring to get that refreshing clean cut look. Enjoy the calmness white brings

Absolutely love this Armani dress.

I love me some Blackspade…

Good underwear is everything!

Underwear sits against your skin all day long, therefore it should feel and be comfortable. The quality of the fabric is at the top of my agenda when purchasing new underwear, so you can imagine by excitement when I came across new brand Blackspade. Oh ladies the smoothness of the fabric is super lush!

The underwear is designed to deliver that barely-there feeling, meaning you can wear fabulous dresses without the thought of irritating underwear.

Blackspade who is owned by a company who also manufactures lingerie for Hugo Boss, offers high quality cotton briefs and camisoles at affordable prices. The snug fit is perfect for the current winter season. You can’t go wrong really!

In order to look fabulous, you have to feel fabulous! The key to underwear is the simplicity and the fit. Think of it as basic wear that boosts your confidence.
