Four eyes are better than two…

Does my eyes look big in these…

When I was in school (way back in the day) wearing glasses was not cool and they certainly were not the fashion statement like they are now. For the last couple of years wearing glasses is seen as geek chic with many people wanting the latest designer glasses even if they don’t need them.

In this new era of glasses being cool I found myself needing them and now they a staple ‘style’ piece to my everyday life, I wear them with pride (yes I have prescription glasses, I don’t wear them for fashion). So you could imagine my excitement when as a fashion blogger and a glasses wearer I received an invite to the CrossEyes bloggers Valentine’s event.

The champagne and cupcakes were a great way to welcome bloggers into the event…#Lush!

photo (4)I had a fab evening not only did I enjoy the refreshments and being free to try on several pairs of glasses (I do need a new pair so this was a good opportunity to see what’s on the market) but also enjoyed the conversion with the owner who is extremely passionate about offering stylish yet affordable eye-wear.

With this…

Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you CrossEyes who originate from Denmark but are now ready to make their mark in London Town! Check them out at http://www.crosseyes.co.uk for the perfect pair of glasses ‘for you’. They also have a shop based in Clerkenwell, one of the coolest places in London might I add. Style is my thing so trust me on this one!

To note…

Looking cool in glasses is 50% getting the right pair for your face and 50% rocking the style with confidence. Whether you already have glasses, or need to get them soon, here are fives tips if you’re feeling self-conscious with your glasses on.

  1. Pick glasses that reflect your personality.
  2. Learn to like your glasses.
  3. Don’t be afraid to wear them in public, they are apart of who you are.
  4. Make sure your glasses fit your face properly.
  5. When you’re trying on glasses, pick out the ones that look best on you.

Seeing is believing!photo (6)
