I’m definitely that chick who needs to wear a lip balm and apply it several times throughout the day to keep my lips looking and feeling smooth. Vaseline has been my number one choice for many years but having heard so much about LipGlam and spotting it at a recent event I decided to give this new balm a try.
Instagram is more than pictures…
Fashion is increasingly becoming mobile with the help of apps which are being used to track down must-have clothes, accessories and shoes. Check out the LIKEtoKNOW.it Instagram account! Shopping the latest trends has just got that much easier…every time you ‘like’ an image, you receive an email with links to the featured products – or several similar, ‘get the look’ items. You can literally go shopping by simply tapping an image…how lush is that?!
My ‘Fashion’ week started on Thursday 11th September at the GQ style night on Carnaby Street.
The next of couple of days consisted of doing a bit of people watching (one of my favourite things to do). I love people watching not just for fashion week but all year round but there is something about Somerset House during fashion week that makes people watching even more enjoyable (oh that sounds somewhat creepy doesn’t it?!).
Monday…I attended the BloggersLoveLFW event which took place at the Penthouse, Leicester square! It was a fantastic evening as I got to meet some fabulous new brands as well as take home loads of wonderful goodies on offer which I have worn throughout the week.
Absolutely love these Telles Silk Scarve
and this necklace by Nadia Minkoff
Tuesday was rest day from London Fashion Week events but the topic was still on fashion. I went to the Google offices to talk how google can help your eCommerce business within the fashion industry. This event was organised by the guys from Fashion Forum LDN
Hump day Wednesday, I was invited to an exclusive party organised by French Connection with Troy the Magician being the guest of honour. The evening was fabulous and consisted of champagne, loads of sweet treats and a DJ playing the finest tunes with myself and a few of the other guests strutting our stuff to Candy by Cameo…check out the song here (its hard not to dance when this song comes on…ha).
On to Thursday….ah Thursday was a long but enjoyable day. I attended a total of five events on this day, some I was invited to and some I randomly stumbled upon.
First up was breakfast at Mango talking careers and viewing the latest collection.
For me fashion is more than how we look, I love hearing the story behind the brand. So you can imagine my excitement when I was invited to watch a presentation on the current collaboration G-Star Raw has with Pharrell Williams. A collaboration in which Pharrell himself initiated (this man does not only look great at 41 but is also a genius). The collaboration ‘Raw for the Oceans’…wait for it….Denim made from recycled plastic bottles. Click here to see what it is all about! What a fab idea?!
After that it was off to Joy Everley – Fine Jewellers 16th Birthday where I enjoyed cocktails and cupcakes. The jewellery range is inspired from the creators’ own desire to wear unusual, fresh and enhancing jewellery design incorporating precious metals and stones. Absolutely loved the collection!
Next I slipped into an art gallary!
Final event the day ended with a trip to the House of Fraser beauty event, as well as discounts on various beauty products the evening also consisted of cocktails and champagne as well as Music from Arize, an up and coming girl band who has recently appeared on the xfactor.
Friday….I enjoyed a Q&A session with Jasmine Guinness, model turned designer answered an arrany questions including ‘what is your style day-to-day?’ Jasmine said “Jeans and trainers due to working in a toy shop and in the evening I like dressing up in a nice dress”. Jasmine also said she likes to mix high street with designer as it is always good to mix things up.
Saturday…it was off to the Marks and Spencer catwalk show at Somerset House for London Fashion Weekend. Quite impressed with the latest offerings from M&S!
Sunday…and that is a wrap, well until next week that is! But for now I’ll be in bed catching up on my shows. #GoodStuff
This week I attended the Bloggers Love Fashion Week. It was a fun-filled couple of days with many treats on offer.
The candy bar was a great sweet treat and one I couldn’t keep away from.
As well as the sweet treats, the gifting lounge and the celebrity guests, I also received a lush manicure from Roxanne Campbell to end the evening in style.
What a lush evening at the first ever Bloggers Loves Fashion Week….cupcakes, cocktails and fashion, it was always going to be a match made in sweet fashion heaven.

Ladies you need to check out new store Chic & Seek on Portland Road (you heard it here first).
What a lush evening I had last night at the fabulous Chic & Seek’s grand opening on Portland Road. Lush canapes and champagne flowing all evening but spotting some lush ‘new’ clothes for my wardrobe was what got me super excited! Yep I will be popping back once payday arrives. The store is filled with luxury brands at affordable prices…did you hear me???…LUXURY BRANDS AT AFFORDABLE PRICES!!
The store has a uniqueness about it, they work with some of London’s chicest women who recycle their wardrobes through Chic & Seek. The company hand-selects every item allowing the customer to find fabulous luxury for fantastic value with the end result for the customer to not only feel great about their unique purchase but to know they have given something a second life.
Rewind to the start of the evening…I didn’t really know what to expect from the evening. I was greeted with this vintage car which was directly outside the store and gave an unexpected feel of what could be expected within the store itself.
Once inside I was given a chilled glass of champagne alongside some lush canapes.
…and then it was all about the clothes….ooooh I spotted so much lushness *eyes lit up like a kid in a candy store*
I spy with my little eye…a Diane Von Furstenberg leather jacket with studs, I need this in my life (we all know that a leather jacket is a must-have piece in anyone’s wardrobe and this one is well…FABULOUS).
Check out some of the other lushness what you can expect in the store…from accessories to jackets to shoes to bags there is something for everyone. Fabulous darling…!

Believe it or not a handbag has amazing powers…the ability to complete your look!
Handbags and clothing have equal significance in an outfit, working together to create an ensemble that expresses your style and who you are. A good bag matters just as much as clothing, providing you an entirely new opportunity to express yourself.
I’m In love with this Pony skin finish cross body handbag, it is a must-have for me. The bag is versatile, you can wear it on a night out with a LBD or in the day with jeans for a shopping trip. This luxurious timeless smart-casual bag may look small on the outside but inside there is plenty of room for all your essentials. Ladies to ensure your look is fabulous from head-to-toe, check out Nuria London who are the makers of these lush bags. http://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/NuriaLondon?section_id=14698564&ref=shopsection_leftnav_3
